Identify the recalled system
A new October 1 recall covers Golden Resale portable camping-shower systems sold through Amazon and Walmart. CPSC identifies a ZAREI-branded system with a bucket, rechargeable shower pump and immersion heater. This is a product-specific fire-hazard recall, not a refund for every portable shower.
The systems sold from February through August 2026 for about $60. CPSC says consumers should stop using them immediately and contact Golden Resale for a full refund. Match the official description and photographs, including the heater and branding, before assuming a similar-looking camping accessory is covered.
Follow the return instructions
The notice says the refund process is initiated through Amazon or Walmart return systems. Consumers proceeding with the refund are sent a free prepaid package to return the recalled system, with the refund issued in the original payment form after the return is processed. A refund is not simply credited to every shopper without the required steps.
Keep the order record and follow the current CPSC and seller instructions for handling and return. Do not improvise a repair or continue using the heater because the purchase was inexpensive.
