The cash categories have different evidence needs
The WPM Pathology and Salina Regional data settlement sets October 19, 2026 for claims, exclusions and objections. It concerns a November 2024 incident involving patient-related private information, including some diagnostic and insurance records.
The FAQ describes ordinary documented expenses up to $400, extraordinary identity-theft or fraud losses up to $4,000 and response time up to four hours at $20 each. Each category has its own conditions. Headline numbers do not prove a claimant incurred every type of loss.
The alternative is not an add-on
The one-time $45 alternative is instead of any other cash option. Monitoring may also be claimed. Do not add alternative cash to the ordinary, extraordinary and time limits to advertise a universally available total.
Claims filed online or mailed need the October 19 deadline; loss records must satisfy the incident and date rules. Final approval is scheduled December 16. Defendants deny wrongdoing. Preserve notice, receipts and time evidence, and distinguish filing a claim from receiving an approved award.
