Match the brush, not only the brand

Walmart recalled about 4,477,655 Expert Grill brushes October 1 because metal wire bristles can detach, reach food and cause serious internal injury if swallowed. The Consumer Product Safety Commission lists five models and a refund remedy. No incidents or injuries were reported in the notice.

The included model numbers are EX5607031616002, EX5607031616003, XG1310700206, XG1136178597003 and XG1410700124. They cover specified scrub brushes, long-handle or three-head brushes, and a ten-piece grilling kit. Check the packaging or tag instead of assuming every Expert Grill product is recalled.

Refund or Walmart credit is the remedy

The notice says to stop using recalled brushes and contact Walmart for a full refund or credit usable in store or online. Customers may be asked to return or discard the brush. It does not promise a separate fixed settlement payment or an automatic deposit without a product check.

The listed products sold between January 2021 and August 2026, with individual distribution periods varying by model, for $1 to $28. Follow the current official recall route for the matching item. The illustration here is conceptual and cannot identify a real brush; use the model table and actual product photographs in the CPSC notice to make that comparison.
