Vehicle eligibility is VIN-specific
The Volkswagen Atlas main-engine water-pump settlement lists October 5, 2026 as the reimbursement-claim deadline. The administrator identifies certain Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport vehicles, but warns that not every vehicle in the listed model years is covered. Use the actual VIN lookup before relying on the notice.
The described vehicles are specific 2018-2022 models equipped with a 3.6-liter engine and imported and distributed in the United States or Puerto Rico by Volkswagen Group of America. Current or former owners and lessees may qualify under the detailed terms. A different engine or a similar vehicle name is not sufficient.
The deadline concerns reimbursement claims
The case alleges premature failure of the mechanically driven main-engine water pump and gasket, potentially causing coolant leaks and repair needs. Volkswagen denies the claims. The website distinguishes the case benefits from a court finding that every listed vehicle has failed.
Retain repair invoices and follow the reimbursement instructions before the deadline. The main website still presents preliminary-approval language and a September 10 hearing date; we have not independently confirmed the outcome of that hearing. Do not mistake an expired objection date or a scheduled hearing for proof that reimbursement has been paid.
