The incident is specific to Urban One

The Urban One data-incident settlement lists October 12, 2026 for claims. The case concerns a March 2025 cyberattack on the broadcaster computer systems. The administrator says recipients of its notice are in the affected class; listening to a station alone is not the class test.

The administrator describes benefits for valid claimants under the settlement terms. Documented-loss requests need the stated incident connection and proof, while any alternative cash route has its own conditions. A headline maximum does not establish the amount owed to a particular individual.

A deadline is not a distribution date

This data case is separate from video-viewing privacy settlements and other broadcasters claims. A notice naming one company should not be used as eligibility evidence for another, even if both concern privacy.

The website still presents preliminary-approval language and a September 25 hearing date. We have not independently confirmed the result of that passed hearing. Keep notice identifiers, qualifying records and claim confirmation and check the administrator current information; the claim cutoff is not proof that payment has already been approved or distributed.
