Qualifying Illinois work and finger scans define the class

The Thermoflex biometric settlement lists October 26, 2026 for exclusion and objections. Eligible members do not need to file a cash-claim form. The class concerns Illinois work and finger-scanning devices used July 27, 2015 through September 3, 2020.

The $9 million proposed fund assigns a gross $1,532.18 share per class member and estimates approximately $900 net after approved fees, costs and awards. Those are two descriptions of one allocation, not a $1,532 payment plus a separate $900 check.

Gross and net amounts are not two payments

The notice says members who remain in the class receive checks after final approval. It gives 180 days from issuance before checks become void. Workers should verify the administrator has a current mailing address rather than assume an old placement-company address will deliver the payment.

The hearing is scheduled November 4. Defendants deny biometric-law violations, and the court has not made a merits finding. Automatic eligibility is not proof money has already been sent. Keep the notice and check official information about address verification and later distribution.
