Summit Medical Allows Loss and Time Claims, but Cash Shares Can Shrink

The $500,000 aggregate cash limit matters more than a headline maximum.

Two cash categories can be claimed together

The Summit Medical Group data-incident settlement lists November 4, 2026 for claims. It concerns a September 2024 cyberattack and people included under the notice after personal information was potentially affected. A visit to a similarly named medical practice does not establish inclusion.

Eligible people may claim documented incident losses up to $2,500 and up to three hours of actual response work at $15 per hour, for a maximum time claim of $45. Two years of medical-data monitoring is another option. Unlike flat-cash alternatives in some cases, loss and time categories may pair here.

The individual ceiling is not a promised check

The FAQ says cash payments may be reduced proportionally if eligible claims exceed $500,000. That aggregate limit means adding $2,500 and $45 does not describe an amount every claimant will receive. Financial expenses need supporting records, and time claims need a brief account of relevant work.

Exclusions and objections are due October 20, with approval scheduled November 19. Online filing or mailed postmarks must meet November 4. Keep the notice, documentation and confirmation and do not confuse gross litigation costs paid separately by the defendant with cash available to claimants. Benefits depend on final approval.
