Check the state and spending period

People who spent money in specified Playstudios social-casino games may need to act by October 21 if they want a payment rather than only virtual currency. The live settlement site says doing nothing results in virtual-currency benefits and releases covered claims. A valid election may provide a payment, virtual currency or both.

The case covers Alabama, Ohio, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Tennessee and Kentucky with different spending periods. Alabama starts March 8, 2022; Ohio and Massachusetts July 26, 2022; New Jersey January 2, 2024; and Tennessee November 12, 2022, each ending June 30, 2026. Kentucky instead covers July 5, 2018 through June 29, 2023.

An election changes the benefit route

Covered games include the named myVEGAS applications, Pop! Slots, myKONAMI Slots, MGM Slots Live, myVEGAS Blackjack and myVEGAS Bingo. Playing a similarly named game, living in another state or spending outside the relevant period does not establish eligibility. Playstudios denies the claims and any violation of law.

October 21 is also the exclusion and objection deadline. The fairness hearing is scheduled for November 10. Read the election form and benefit rules before choosing: a headline describing a settlement payment misses the important distinction between doing nothing and requesting the cash-related route.
