Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday announced a settlement on September 28, 2026 with Mavis Tire Supply, LLC over allegedly deceptive sales practices. Mavis will pay $215,000 in monetary relief, with another $100,000 due if it violates the settlement. Mavis operates more than 130 branches in Pennsylvania and agreed to maintain oversight and training to ensure employees comply with the law.
The settlement, an Assurance of Voluntary Compliance filed in Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas, resolves an investigation into allegations that Mavis recommended and charged for repair and maintenance services that were unnecessary or never performed, and failed to perform work in a skilled, workmanlike manner. A settlement is not an admission of a violation.
It includes $190,000 in restitution for harmed consumers who have filed or file a complaint with sufficient support by Tuesday, January 26, 2027, and $25,000 for costs. Affected customers can file with the Bureau of Consumer Protection online, at 1-800-441-2555 or at scams@attorneygeneral.gov.
