The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced on Oct. 8 a recall of about 110,550 PACEARTH swing seats sold by Pacearth Direct. The agency says the seats, metal carabiners or quick links, or webbing straps can break during use, creating a fall hazard.

Pacearth Direct has received at least 30 reports of falls, including at least nine injuries such as fractures, head injuries and bruising. The recalled product is a U-type swing seat sold in green, blue, pink, red and turquoise, with a chain coated in yellow plastic and yellow webbing straps. It was sold singly or in a pack of two.

The seats were sold on Amazon.com from May 2017 through June 2026 for between $27 and $57. The company is based in City of Industry, California, and the seats were made in China. The recall number is 27-019.

The remedy is a full refund. Buyers should stop using the swing right away. To get the refund they must write "RECALLED" on the seat with a permanent marker, take a photo that shows the PACEARTH logo, and email it to recall@pacearth.com. The CPSC consumer hotline is 800-638-2772.
