A proposed settlement over O'Reilly Automotive marketing texts has a claim deadline today, September 28, 2026. The case concerns people who received two or more texts after their number was assigned to them while it was on the National Do Not Call Registry. A person with a qualifying claim may receive up to $22, but the amount may be reduced if claims exceed the fund. This is not a payment to every O'Reilly customer.
The settlement site's notice says a claimant's application may be denied if they made an online or in-store O'Reilly purchase during the 18 months before the texts. O'Reilly denies wrongdoing, and a court has not ruled on the merits. The court must still approve the settlement before payment; the claims deadline is not the payment date.
