The disaster and county lists define the route

A Federal Register notice published October 6, 2026 announces an SBA economic-injury disaster declaration issued October 1 for Oregon's mid-July severe storms and wildfires. The incident period is July 15 through August 24, 2026, with economic-injury loan applications due July 1, 2027.

Primary counties are Baker, Clackamas, Deschutes, Grant, Umatilla, Wallowa, Wasco and Wheeler. The notice also lists adjacent counties in Oregon, Idaho and Washington. A statewide headline does not make every business in all three states eligible; check the actual county and program requirements.

Borrowing is different from grant compensation

The notice lists 4% for businesses and small agricultural cooperatives without credit available elsewhere, and 3.625% for qualifying private nonprofits. These are borrower-category loan rates, not a payment percentage or money that automatically arrives because a wildfire occurred.

The official application route is the MySBA Loan Portal, with assistance through SBA. Keep incident and business-impact records and review repayment terms. This economic-injury declaration should not be presented as a homeowner repair grant, a blanket household benefit or proof an individual application has been approved.
