The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a recall Thursday of about 2,140 ONTHEWEI baby bath seats. CPSC says they violate the mandatory standard for infant bath seats because they are unstable and can tip over in use, which poses a risk of serious injury or death from drowning. No incidents were reported.

The seats come in gray, pink, blue and mist green, with detachable restraint arms and suction cups underneath. A label on the back reads "Model No: MY002" and "Date of manufacturer: 2026/1/10". They sold on Amazon.com in April 2026 for $40 to $50.

Owners should stop using the seat now and email ONTHEWEI at onthewei@outlook.com for a full refund. To qualify, they must write "RECALLED" on the front, remove the back rest and arm restraints, cut the three suction cups, and send a photo of the marked seat. Then dispose of it.

A bath seat is not a safety device, and a child should never be left alone in the tub. This is recall 27-018.
