Nevada Releases 2027 Health Rates. Off-Exchange Plans Miss Federal Aid

The October 1 notice reports different market averages. October comparison shopping precedes November enrollment, and the net premium needs a subsidy check.

Approved rates are ready to compare

Nevada released approved individual-market health plans and rates October 1 for 2027. The Insurance Division reports twelve companies offering 165 plans on and off the exchange. The fresh announcement lets consumers compare options before open enrollment begins November 1.

The division lists an average 17-percent increase on the exchange, with nine carriers, and 10.9 percent off the exchange, with three exclusively off-exchange carriers and 46 off-exchange plans. Those are market averages, not a quote for any particular age, county or household.

A lower gross rate is not the whole cost

Federal financial assistance is available only through the exchange, the release says. An off-exchange option with a lower gross premium therefore is not automatically cheaper after an eligible household's assistance is considered. Check the actual net premium along with network, deductible and covered drugs.

Open enrollment runs November 1, 2026 through January 15, 2027. The division says October can be used to compare plans and estimate assistance eligibility. Comparing now does not mean every policy is already enrolled or effective. The practical news is that approved choices are available to inspect, while the final household cost still depends on the plan and applicable aid.
