A $10 Dumpling Toy Has a Water-Bead Recall and Photo-Based Refund

The October 1 LLK Trading notice covers about 480 Mochi Malrang toys sold at Easy Wholesale in San Jose. It is not a recall of every squishy toy.

Which toy the small recall covers

LLK Trading recalled about 480 Mochi Malrang Mystery Dumpling Toys October 1 over water-bead ingestion risks and a violation of the mandatory toy standard. CPSC warns of serious injury or death if the beads are swallowed. No incidents were reported in the recall notice.

The covered toy is translucent red with glitter and water beads, a cartoon face and a tan container shaped like a bamboo steamer. Packaging says "SOFT and SQUISHY" and "MOCHI MALRANG." There are no other markings on the toy itself, so the official notice's photographs are important for identification.

Keep the required photo for the refund

CPSC says to stop use and contact LLK Trading for a full refund. The stated process requires marking the dumpling and container "RECALLED," throwing them away and emailing a photograph of the items in the trash to the firm's recall contact. Use the contact in the official notice, not an unsolicited refund message.

The toys sold at Easy Wholesale in San Jose in July 2026 for about $10. That narrow sales scope is different from a nationwide recall of all water-bead toys. Keep the necessary evidence before discarding the item and prevent children from reaching it. The illustration is conceptual; it should not be used to decide whether a particular toy matches.
