The policy and syndicate matter
The Lloyd's syndicate settlement website lists October 30, 2026 for claims. It concerns a partial settlement with specified underwriters, not every insurance dispute involving Lloyd's. The class definition covers eligible United States policy purchasers or renewals during January 1, 1997 through April 15, 2025, subject to exclusions.
The settling syndicates are 727, 1003, 2003, 2020 and 2791. The FAQ identifies 2488 as non-settling and says the case continues against it. The underlying allegations concern broker compensation and competition in the market; the settling defendants deny them.
Claim and legal-options dates differ
The $3.57 million settlement amount is reduced by approved fees, expenses and other costs before distribution. Only timely valid claimants entitled under the allocation receive payment, with premiums paid informing calculation. The headline total is not a payment per policyholder or a refund of every premium.
Exclusion and objection deadlines were October 2. The fairness hearing is scheduled October 23, before claims close. The case website distinguishes participation in this settlement from potential relief involving the remaining defendant. Match the policy and notice to the detailed class definition rather than assuming all Lloyd's-branded coverage qualifies.
