Cashing the first check mattered
The Lexington Law and CreditRepair.com redress administrator says second payments began mailing in late September and continue through October 2026. The CFPB allocated another $117,058,683.11 for this distribution. The program is tied to identified harmed consumers, not anyone who has used a credit-repair service.
Eligibility for this second payment requires having cashed the previous check on or before June 30, 2026 and a calculated second payment of at least $10, according to the current administrator. An email notice about an upcoming payment indicates the recipient was deemed eligible. Cashing an old check now does not retroactively satisfy the passed June 30 test.
There is no paid fast-track route
The administrator advises consumers with questions about first-check cashing to review bank records for payments between December 5, 2024 and June 30, 2026. The newly mailing checks are not a new application window that a paid intermediary can unlock. Individual amounts are not established by dividing the headline allocation informally.
Use the case administrator's current contact details for address or payment questions. Its website warns against promises to expedite a check or provide funds through another format. A mailing schedule does not prove a particular household's check has arrived, and the first-distribution conditions should be checked before treating a second payment as owed.
