Match the affected-data class
The proposed Laboratory Services Cooperative data-breach settlement has a November 24 claim deadline. Its class covers United States residents whose personal information was potentially compromised in the incident the organization became aware of around October 27, 2024. A lab test alone does not establish membership.
The $6.1 million fund pays eligible benefits plus administration, approved legal fees and service awards. The notice describes documented out-of-pocket losses of up to $5,000 and a pro-rata cash-fund payment route of up to $1,000. Those limits are not amounts every affected person receives, and each route has its own conditions.
Separate documented losses from the cash fund
The settlement also describes credit monitoring and Medical Shield services. The notice says all class members may claim two years of Medical Shield Complete, including medical-information and credit monitoring. Keep evidence tying claimed losses to the incident. Expenses already reimbursed elsewhere should not be treated as new unreimbursed losses.
Exclusion and objection deadlines are October 26, earlier than the claims cutoff. The final-approval hearing is scheduled for January 4, 2027. LSC denies the allegations, and benefits depend on court approval and resolution of appeals. Use the current case materials to verify membership and the claim route instead of adding every maximum in a headline.
