Kroger Prescription Claims Close December 21, Not the October Opt-Out Date

Insurance-paid prescriptions are the focus. The $8,000 documentation threshold is not a promised payment.

A copay and a membership are different

Kroger's proposed prescription-pricing settlement has a December 21 claim deadline, according to the live administrator. The lawsuit concerns usual-and-customary pricing for prescriptions paid using insurance. It is not a universal refund for groceries or every cash prescription purchase.

The notice covers individuals in the United States and its territories who paid all or part of an insured prescription at Kroger between December 9, 2018 and August 23, 2026, subject to exclusions. Savings Club membership is not the sole class test. Check the transaction and notice before entering payment totals.

The two deadlines serve different purposes

The administrator says claims totaling $8,000 or more require supporting documentation sufficient to identify payments during the class period. That number is a paperwork threshold, not a guaranteed award. Valid claim amounts and approved costs affect distribution of the settlement fund. People not on the identified purchaser list may also need evidence even below that threshold.

October 22 is the exclusion and objection deadline, while final approval is scheduled for January 11, 2027. Keep pharmacy and insurance payment records and use the live claim instructions. A headline calling October the claim cutoff confuses separate legal options; submission also does not prove that payment has been approved or sent.
