A no-receipt option is not an open class
The Institute for Human Resources and Services proposed breach settlement has a December 2 claim deadline. The administrator describes an August 2025 incident involving private information. The class concerns people whose information was accessed, not everyone who used nonprofit services or lives in Pennsylvania.
The notice offers a $45 alternative cash payment or documented losses of up to $2,000. Those are alternative cash choices, not two awards to add together. The documented-loss route covers specified incident-related expenses incurred between August 13, 2025 and December 2, 2026 and requires independent supporting records.
Choose the correct cash route
No loss receipts are required for the $45 option, but class membership and a valid timely claim still are. The administrator also describes two years of CyEx Financial Shield Complete. A person missing notice or enrollment credentials should contact the administrator rather than supplying invented identifiers.
Exclusion and objection deadlines are November 2, while the approval hearing is scheduled for December 17. IHRS denies wrongdoing, and benefits depend on approval and appeals. Preserve the notice and actual loss evidence. A no-receipt payment route simplifies one requirement; it does not turn the settlement into a public giveaway.
