Buying and selling are not the same claim
The homebuyer antitrust settlement administrator lists October 27 as the claim deadline for a combined $120,334,500 fund. The class generally concerns purchases of MLS-listed homes in which a brokerage commission was paid, subject to the specific class periods and exclusions in the official notice.
The website explicitly distinguishes homebuyers from people included in separate home-seller settlements. A past house sale is not enough to establish eligibility here. Review the purchase transaction and applicable class period instead of assuming every real-estate commission case has the same rules.
The total is not your commission refund
The administrator says payments depend on approved allocation, valid claims, properties purchased and commission information. The net fund is paid in installments, with multiple payments expected over several years after final approval. Neither an immediate check nor a full commission refund is promised.
Claims must be submitted or postmarked by October 27. Exclusion and objection deadlines have passed, and the final-approval hearing is scheduled for November 2. Preserve closing documents and notify the administrator of contact changes. The approaching claim deadline is useful for qualifying buyers without turning the headline fund into a guaranteed personal award.
