Match the seed pouch and production code

EAK Distribution recalled HOME GROWN Green Sprouting Calabrese Broccoli Seeds, eight-ounce heirloom packs, on October 2 because of possible Salmonella contamination. The FDA-posted notice concerns products sold nationwide through Amazon between August 20 and September 18, 2026.

The product is a cream-colored pouch with UPC 850056627443 and production lot code AUG172026 embossed at the top seal. Use official photos and those identifiers, not our conceptual illustration, to check a package. Other seeds or a similar brand name do not automatically fall within this notice.

The remedy is disposal and a retailer refund

The company says sales stopped September 17 after a supplier warning, and a later sample tested positive for Salmonella. It reported no illnesses from this product at the time of the notice. That does not remove the instruction to stop using the affected seeds.

Consumers are told not to use the recalled product, to dispose of it and to contact Amazon for a full refund. Keep order and product-identification information before disposal. The remedy is not a class-action cash claim, and the notice does not require consumers to buy a replacement to qualify for the stated refund.
