The fund pays qualifying cash claims
Globe Life and American Income Life settlement cash claims are due October 19, 2026. The administrator describes an October 2024 data incident potentially involving current and former customer information. The defendants deny wrongdoing; this is not a refund of insurance premiums for all policyholders.
The proposed settlement provides up to $3.4 million for cash benefits. Those benefits include documented related losses up to $5,000 and up to four hours of actual response time at $18 per hour, a $72 maximum. The $72 figure is earned-time reimbursement, not a standard check everyone automatically receives.
Monitoring has a different participation route
The administrator says class members who do not opt out receive a monitoring benefit and can activate a code without submitting a cash claim. Cash requires a timely valid claim. Monitoring insurance limits are not cash awards, and someone who does nothing should not expect a loss payment.
Exclusion and objection are due November 16, later than the cash-claim deadline. The final hearing is scheduled December 14. Keep notice and loss records and distinguish the options carefully: the date for leaving or objecting to the case does not extend the date to request money.
