Two generic-drug processes are not interchangeable

The private generic-drug end-payer settlement administrator lists November 9, 2026 as its claim deadline. That should not be confused with the separate state attorneys general consumer settlement process. The cases involve related pricing allegations, but their forms, classes and cutoffs are not interchangeable.

The consumer form covers indirect purchases of named generic drugs from May 1, 2009 through December 31, 2019 in the listed United States jurisdictions, excluding Indiana and Ohio. The form also contains other exclusions, including consumers covered by Medicaid for the purchases. Buying any generic medicine is not sufficient.

An old pharmacy record can be important

For each listed drug, the form requires a document showing at least one qualifying purchase. Receipts, invoices, account statements or an itemized pharmacy record may provide the necessary drug and payment information. The amount requested is the consumer out-of-pocket amount, not the insurer portion.

Use the named-drug appendix and the consumer form for your own situation; third-party payers have different instructions. The administrator says participants do not need to hire or pay a claims recovery firm. No fixed consumer payment is promised here. Start collecting old records before the deadline rather than copying a dollar amount from an unrelated settlement headline.
