Match the September 2024 incident

Electronics for Imaging's proposed data-breach settlement has an open claim route ending December 22. The live administrator describes a September 2024 cyberattack and a case in New Hampshire. The affected-data class is specific; buying a printer or working in imaging does not establish membership.

The notice provides documented ordinary-loss and extraordinary-loss routes, time compensation under stated conditions and three years of credit-monitoring services. Evidence must connect a claimed loss or response time to the incident. A cap shown in settlement materials is not an automatic award.

The cash choices cannot all be added

An alternative cash payment is estimated at $75 but can be larger or smaller depending on claims. The notice says it is instead of other cash benefits and describes an aggregate cap affecting that route. A headline that adds an estimated cash award to every maximum loss figure misstates the choices.

Exclusions and objections are due November 23; the approval hearing is scheduled for January 26, 2027. EFI denies wrongdoing. Preserve the notice, receipts and other independent loss records, and use the administrator's instructions to choose the applicable benefit route. Payments depend on final approval and appeals, not merely submitting a form.
