Two incidents and specific impact areas
Los Angeles County extended its Small Business Recovery Grant deadline to October 9, 2026 from October 2. The October 2 announcement concerns economic impacts from the June 17 Lineage Fire and May 22 East Los Angeles Oil Spill. Businesses outside the designated impact areas are not eligible.
Commercial brick-and-mortar small businesses may apply for up to $3,000. Eligible home-based businesses with customer presence, sidewalk vendors and mobile businesses have a $1,000 grant route. These categories and amounts should not be combined into a universal $3,000 offer.
The largest grant is not for every business
Applicants must have operated at an eligible location for at least 30 days before the relevant incident, have 100 or fewer employees, and annual gross receipts of $6 million or less. They must also demonstrate or attest to qualifying disruption and supply required information. The map and other conditions matter alongside business size.
The county offers English and Spanish application help October 5 and 6 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at El Centro de Maravilla, 4716 E. Cesar E. Chavez Avenue. Use the county application route and keep eligibility records. A submitted application is not an approved award or confirmation of money received.
