Check the bottom label for 406198
Dollar Tree recalled about 360,500 electric balloon pumps October 1 because of a burn hazard. CPSC reports three overheating incidents, including flames inside one unit and an explosion in another, with no reported injuries. The remedy is a full refund for the recalled product.
The notice identifies a pink plastic pump with a blue handle, two nozzles and continuous or touch-on operation. Model 406198 is on the silver rating label underneath and on the packaging. A color resemblance alone is not enough; the model number and CPSC photographs provide the actual comparison.
Online buyers should request a prepaid label
Customers should stop using the pump and return it to a Dollar Tree store for a full refund. Online buyers should contact the firm for a prepaid shipping label to return the recalled item. The notice does not tell online buyers to pay postage first or promise an automatic credit without a return.
The pumps sold nationwide and online through Dollar Tree and DoorDash between August 2025 and July 2026 for about $17. The recalled unit count is not a count of injured customers. Check the official contact route and keep the model information with the purchase record; the conceptual illustration on this page is not a photograph of the pump.
