Axcelis Technologies, Inc. has announced the appointment of Jeroen Delsman as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective November 12, 2026. This significant leadership change comes as the company aims to enhance its financial strategy and operations.
Mr. Delsman succeeds David Ryzhik, who has been serving as the interim Chief Financial Officer. Ryzhik will remain with the company as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and Investor Relations.
Jeroen Delsman, aged 50, brings a wealth of experience to Axcelis, with 18 years in the semiconductor industry and over 26 years in finance and accounting. His previous roles also include Vice President of Finance at Sanmina Corporation and finance leadership positions at Veeco Instruments, Lam Research Corporation, and Novellus Systems, Inc.
In connection with his appointment, Delsman entered into an offer letter agreement with Axcelis, which includes an annual base salary of $500,000. He will also be eligible for the Axcelis Team Incentive plan starting in 2027, with a target equal to 75% of his base salary. Additionally, Delsman will receive a sign-on cash bonus of $352,000 and a sign-on restricted stock unit award valued at $1.2 million, which will vest over three years.
Moreover, he is expected to receive annual equity awards with a target value of at least $1.2 million. Delsman will also receive an $80,000 relocation bonus to assist with moving expenses during his first year of employment.
Following Delsman's commencement, he will be subject to various agreements, including an Indemnification Agreement and a Change in Control Severance Agreement.
This leadership transition at Axcelis comes at a time when the semiconductor industry is experiencing rapid changes and challenges. Delsman's extensive background in finance and operations within the sector is expected to provide valuable insights and direction as Axcelis navigates its future.
