Canoga Park Property Claims Close October 10. The Map and Ownership Dates Matter

The $75 million Northrop Grumman proposal is not a health payout or a citywide homeowner payment.

Current and former owners have different tests

The proposed Northrop Grumman Canoga Park and Winnetka property settlement has an October 10 claim deadline. The administrator says eligibility depends on single-family homes or townhomes inside the mapped class area. A nearby address outside that map is not automatically covered.

The class includes qualifying owners as of August 11, 2026 and certain former owners who held a qualifying home as of July 1, 2024 but sold it by August 11, 2026. Employee exclusions also apply. Review the ownership record and map instead of treating the neighborhood name as the complete class definition.

Personal-injury claims are not released

The proposed $75 million fund concerns alleged soil and groundwater contamination and property-related effects. It also pays approved legal fees, service awards and administration. Defendants deny liability, and the headline amount is not a fixed award per home or proof that every claimant will receive the same payment.

The administrator states that personal-injury, wrongful-death and medical-monitoring claims are not released by this settlement. Exclusion and objection deadlines have already passed on September 25. A valid claim is required for payment, which remains subject to approval. Keep title and sale records and read the full notice rather than interpreting a property settlement as compensation for every health concern.
