Different text-message classes have different tests
The BuyAlerts TCPA and Florida telephone-law settlement provides up to $42.16 for eligible members of each defined class, subject to reduction. The administrator sets February 16, 2027 for claims. The website concerns texts sent January 1, 2022 through August 7, 2026, not any unwanted financial-marketing message.
The nationwide stop class requires multiple marketing texts within a twelve-month period and a stop or similar instruction. The Florida stop class has its own condition involving a stop instruction at least fifteen days before a later text. The nationwide Do Not Call class has registry, frequency and consent conditions.
One person files one claim form
The fund is capped at $3.6 million and also pays approved fees, administration and awards. Members may submit only one claim form even if more than one class definition applies. The per-class maximum is not a guarantee and can fall if available funds are insufficient.
Exclusion and objection dates are January 4, 2027, with approval scheduled February 1. If no claim is filed and the person remains in the class, the FAQ says there is no payment but released claims are still affected. Keep notice and message records and verify the appropriate class rather than claiming solely because the sender name looks familiar.
