Portal use and Missouri residence both matter
The Boone Health patient-portal settlement gives October 9, 2026 for exclusions, before its November 9 cash-claim and objection deadlines. Eligible people are or were Boone Health patients, reside in Missouri and logged into its patient portal between April 1, 2021 and December 5, 2022.
The proposed settlement offers a $20 cash payment to eligible people submitting a valid claim. Class members may separately enroll in a Privacy Shield product using instructions sent by email. Joining the privacy service is not the same as filing a cash claim.
Privacy enrollment and cash filing are separate steps
The lawsuit alleges transmission of information through third-party website technology. Boone Health denies the claims and says it settled to avoid litigation costs and uncertainty. A clinic visit without qualifying portal use, or use of a different provider’s portal, does not meet the published definition.
The final hearing is scheduled December 1. Doing nothing can release covered claims without producing cash if approval becomes effective. Follow the current administrator’s separate procedures for filing, enrollment and exclusion and keep confirmation rather than assume the later cash window extends the earlier exit deadline.
