The hearing and filing cutoff are separate

The Americold data-settlement FAQ schedules final approval for October 6, 2026 at 2 p.m. Eastern time, while claims remain open through October 22. At this morning check, the hearing is still ahead; its scheduled date is not evidence of approval.

The case concerns two incidents, in November 2020 and April 2023. The class includes United States people notified by Americold that their private information was impacted. Buying frozen food or living near a warehouse does not establish membership.

Net funds determine proportional payments

The proposed $5.25 million fund offers documented unreimbursed incident losses up to $25,000 and/or residual cash estimated at $200 for people notified of both incidents or $100 for one. Payments may move proportionally with valid claims and remaining net funds. Three years of monitoring requires a claim election and later activation.

Online claims or mailed postmarks must meet October 22. Exclusion and objections closed September 22. Keep the affected notice and required evidence and check hearing updates. The filing cutoff remains a different event from final approval or a payment distribution.
