Comtech Telecommunications Corp. has announced its financial results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year ended July 31, 2026. The company reported a sixth consecutive quarter of positive operating cash flow, which has significantly contributed to an increase in liquidity and a reduction in debt. This performance is a reflection of Comtech's ongoing transformation and strategic focus on mission-critical public safety technologies.

Ken Traub, Chairman, President, and CEO of Comtech, stated, "Our accomplishments in Fiscal 2026 highlight the successful execution of the transformation plan we announced when I took over as CEO during Fiscal 2025. Comtech is now a far stronger company operationally, financially, organizationally, and strategically." He noted that the company generated positive consolidated operating cash flows for each of the last six quarters, totaling $37.4 million for the fiscal year.

As a result of this strong performance, Comtech's consolidated liquidity rose to $61.3 million at the end of the fiscal year, while also reducing senior debt. Traub emphasized that the improved operating and financial performance positioned the company to focus on two major objectives: executing on the strategic alternatives process and improving its capital structure.

In June, Comtech concluded a strategic review that determined the best path forward was to divest the majority of its Satellite and Space Communications (S&S) business while retaining its cybersecurity training services. The decision was made to enhance focus on Allerium's leadership position in public safety. The company has signed a definitive agreement to sell most of the S&S business to an affiliate of Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd for $157.5 million.

Following the successful turnaround of the S&S business, Comtech was able to negotiate favorable amendments to its senior debt, subordinated debt, and preferred stock agreements. These amendments provide enhanced financial flexibility and a lower expected cost of capital. The anticipated closing of the sale of the S&S business is expected to further improve Comtech's financial position.

Comtech's transformation has fostered a renewed culture of confidence within the company. Traub expressed gratitude to the employees for their dedication during this transition period. He also announced that CFO Mike Bondi and Chief Legal Officer Don Walther would be departing after a brief transition period, with Rich Nyren and Amy Rothstein-Hovey stepping into their roles.

Jeff Robertson, President of Allerium, added, "We are entering an exciting time for Allerium, one that focuses on innovation and execution as we support the growing demands for our current and evolving offerings." The company is poised to capitalize on its recent innovations and the increasing market demands for mission-critical public safety and communications technologies.

Details were not available in the SEC filing regarding future steps following this announcement. However, the filing indicates that Comtech is focused on leveraging its improved financial position to enhance its growth prospects.
